    Age (If you want): 31

    How Primal are you: 95%

Do you consume dairy: A splash of milk in my morning scramble

Do you drink coffee or tea: Yes

Motivator for switching to Primal: After discussing primal with a buddy who is primal I started doing the research. After looking at the science behind it and then drawing my own conclusions I decided it was the right move. The SO was harping on me to eat more vegetables and I found the diet that does it.

    Favorite exercise: Hang Cleans

    Favorite Primal food: Bison Filet

Best part about being Primal: The food choices, learning new recipes, constant energy, and my stomach issues have dropped drastically in frequency. Also, passing by my open pantry and looking at the "healthy food" I used to eat and looking at the ingredients every once in a while. That makes me laugh!

Worst part about being Primal: Other people feeling they need to cater and create special meals for dinner parties.

I started thinking I was being Primal right after Christmas, I saw some immediate changes. I went fully Primal in the beginning of February. I have dropped close to 4% body fat to get to below 10%. I went from 208 on December 26th to 192 last week.

In My Case, the back was the result of a bad bike accident, I have 3 herniated discs in my lower back which messes with the nerves in my legs. My legs get weak and I have folded both knees sideways tearing the acl and messing up the meniscus as a result. I am hoping that as I loose weight, my back issues will go away and my knees will suffer less for that. 1 week in and counting. Down 1 pant size too.

How Primal are you: I shoot for 100 and end up in the 80/20... I think

Do you consume dairy: Not often, maybe some full cream in coffee

Do you drink coffee or tea: yes.

Motivator for switching to Primal: I already had so many allergies, I thought I would eliminate the rest!

Favorite exercise: tie between cycling and hiking

    Favorite Primal food: meat.

Best part about being Primal: feeling GOOD

Worst part about being Primal: I am a manager at a frozen yogurt shop... good thing the ingredients are local, organic, and the dairy is pastured!

How Primal are you: I've been kind of following the primal diet based on listening to some podcasts and blogs I gleaned from Lew Rockwell's site. I am very Libertarian and like the idea of doing the opposite of whatever the government says to do : )

Do you consume dairy: Yes, mostly yogurt or cheese.

Do you drink coffee or tea: No coffee, herbal teas, black or green

Motivator for switching to Primal: Sick and tired of being sick and tired- have chronic back pain, hoping this will help

    Favorite exercise: hiking

    Favorite Primal food: Tuna

Best part about being Primal: Don't know yet, but I do like the eating lifestyle and the exercise routines based on what I have read so far. I have been following the frequent high intensity exercise "chronic cardio" routine and realize it is killing me.

Worst part about being Primal: I don't see any negative yet - except the possibility that finding good local, organic foods may be difficult.

I am beginning the full fledged paleo diet this week 4/10/12. Just got the book and am reading it and excited about this, hope it lasts : )

Do you consume dairy: only cheese

Do you drink coffee or tea: an occasional tea, never coffee, always hated it

Motivator for switching to Primal: lose weight, get rid of my eczema

    Favorite exercise: hiking!

    Favorite Primal food: bacon

Best part about being Primal: its so easy. I dont have to count calories or macronutrient ratios and im losing weight.

Worst part about being Primal: im half asian so im used to eat alot of rice with my meals. It isnt that hard not eating it but im just so used to having it.

How Primal are you: 80%? I ate milk chocolate on Easter and I am still using store mayo. I have a casein allergy, so giving up dairy was difficult.

I drink about 3 cups of coffee per day.

Motivator? Seems right. My husband did SCD for about 5 years. I have low carbed more times than I can count, always falling off the wagon and never feeling good. I have been doing this for a few weeks and it makes me feel good and is easy.

    Favorite exercise: walking my greyhound.

Favorite Primal food: my homemade pork sausage

Best part: not keeping track of every bite and feeling like a screwup. I am free!

Worst part: I will let you know.....

    Hello!

I am new to this website but have been Primal off and on for about two years. What an exciting forum!!! I have been reading up on new ideas and have put most to use privately and professionally. I just relocated to Tempe, Arizona were I will be for about six to twelve months - I am a private nurse and working for a family in Scottsdale. Are there any primal partners in Tempe? I would love to meet up and maybe learn some "go to - don't go to" places in Tempe. I have been out riding my bike and notice it is a diverse little town - rich with so many restaurants & things to do - Where do I start?

    Welcome, Semabe!

Congrats on getting back on the right track. Unlike you, I was a nerd-couch-potato most of my life and only became athletic about 3 years ago (I'm now 43). I've been doing Primal/Paleo since September 2011. Before that, I was eating a healthier version of the Conventional Wisdom Diet, but Primal is so much easier.

I thought I'd drop you a line since I'm almost your neighbor -- I live in Montrose and I usually take the Metro Goldline from Pasadena to downtown L.A.

    Be well,
    Anthrocavedude
