I held onto the butter for awhile. Even though the rosacea got better, it was still there, and bothering me...when I looked in the mirror. You will have to see what works for you.

The most difficult part of giving up butter was the oily/salty sensation. So I found ghee with some salt added gave me the same satisfaction.

How Primal are you: I'm at the end of the transitory phase (been doing it for about a month but I think I just reached the point where there will be no more breakdowns outside of the 80/20 rule)

Do you consume dairy: Very rarely

Do you drink coffee or tea: Occasionally have a cup in the morning (16oz)

Motivator for switching to Primal: My goal is to lose the last remaining fat around my gut that running has not been able to get rid of. (specifically by this December)

Favorite exercise: Running for sure, although I also enjoy cycling and ab exercises

Best part about being Primal: I feel better, and I definitely notice my body trimming up. Eating an apple certainly feels much better than eating a few pizza rolls!

Worst part about being Primal: It is significantly more difficult for someone like me (with no cooking skills/experience) to start making meals when I would normally just order pizza or throw something unhealthy in the microwave. Also, I don't know any Primal eaters in my area so collaboration is not an option...

    How Primal are you: 99%

    Do you consume dairy: occasionally

Do you drink coffee or tea: green tea or decaf coffee

Motivator for switching to Primal: I was at the end of my rope, health-wise, and had tried every other restricted diet out there (vegan, gluten-free) and nothing made a difference, until I kicked grains completely. NO MORE PAIN! no more digestion issues; no more migraines; the list is on-going.

Favorite exercise: Hiking, with my toddler on my back. :-)

    Favorite Primal food: BACON

Best part about being Primal: feeling SO GOOD

Worst part about being Primal: dealing with the uneducated masses

How Primal are you: Ehh....I would say between 80-90%. Budgetary concerns keep me from eating completely organic or grass-fed, but I do the best I can and try to grow a lot of my own produce.

Do you consume dairy: Yes...cheese and cottage cheese on occasion, as well as heavy cream and butter of course!

Do you drink coffee or tea: Tea, definitely...coffee, on occasion.

Motivator for switching to Primal: Weightloss, as well as skin and allergy issues, which seem to have cleared up since the change....along with at good 30 lb weight loss so far.

    Favorite exercise: Swimming laps

Favorite Primal food: Bacon and Avocado

Best part about being Primal: Not feeling sluggish and tired all the time....oh and the weight loss too!

Worst part about being Primal: Trying to explain the way I eat and think to the average person without sounding like a nut job. LOL.
The other tough thing is trying to fit into the normal bar/social scene with your friends while at the same time staying true to your primal way of doing things.....
