Yet they are definitely anti-soy. It makes no sense.
My partner and I recently checked out the Crossfit gym in South Boston and we noticed that on their website they were recommending tofu and quinoa as paleo/primal foods! I've read Robb Wolf, Mark Sisson and other primal/paleo experts and nowhere have I seen a grain or soy product promoted as fitting into the primal lifestyle. Has anyone here heard otherwise? Who are they reading? (or maybe they're not!)

Wheat is the new tobacco. Spread the word.
Uhh... I would never, and I mean NEVER, recommend soy-anything to anybody. Especially not males (estrogen whatnots...).
Thoughts: Ew.

Can you say, "Self purported experts make spurious claim!"
I wouldn't promote soy to anyone, and quinoa I think was covered on a blog post by Sisson, stating basically no need to eat it, but if you must, moderate.

Me vs. Russian Boar, hunt is on Aug. 20th. WHAT'S MORE PRIMAL THAN THAT?!

Definitely gross.
Soy should be fermented for safer consumption. And, even then, definitely in moderation. Crossfit has its own problems.
Tofu's not food. I don't know what it is, but it's not food.
Yuck.
Although crossfit often goes hand in hand with paleo, is there actually a relationship between the two? I've never been in one, so I don't know...
