I've been having pretty strong craving to eat later at night, close to when I go to bed (between 9pm and 12am). I ate 60 grams of carbs today, with lots of fat. I don't feel terribly hungry, but sometimes I have a funny taste in my mouth in the evenings, and I don't notice it earlier in the day. Brushing my teeth hasn't helped that.
The weird thing is that I know it isn't psychological or habit, because I've never been a night eater. I used to starve in the morning and early afternoon on a conventional diet, then lose my appetite late afternoon and eat a small dinner. I rarely ate after 8, and usually if I did have something between 7-9, it was small.

Not sure I found an answer there, or if anyone did. I already eat the big breakfast and lunch, and if I go to bed earlier I just lie there awake. I'm also not eating the carbs that she was eating.
Do you have an oral fixation?
Are you well hydrated at night?
How's your after hours activity schedule?

I was never a smoker or gum chewer, so I don't think so on the oral fixation, but not sure. I tend not to drink a lot after dinner, so maybe on the hydration. I don't like having to get up after I go to bed. Usually, after dinner I watch tv or do something pretty light. I don't go out a lot since I'm pretty much broke.
Maybe try some after hours very light activity?

A walk in the evening before bed helps me sleep better at night.
