    odd stuff happening now

    Hey group,
Not sure if this is the right place to post this, so my apologies ahead of time if this is in the wrong spot. I started the primal lifestyle 6 wks ago at 330 lbs, my wife started as well that time too. We read all the stuff on the site researched and began our new journey. It WAS TOUGH, carb cravings, mood swings, it was crazy, like a junkie coming off dope! But then I began to feel better and better. I started IFing, and that really began to clear my mind, cravings went away, and other things began to happen. Asthma got better, and my plantar faciatis improved tremendously. I rarely woke up with foot pain in the am. A week and a half ago, I had lost a total of 20 lbs. Since peaches came into season recently, I have been eating one a day, I had been keeping my daily carb to less than 50g, the peach bumped it up to around 50 or more. However, since then, I have stopped losing weight, I hover around 310 or so, plus in the last few days my foot pain has returned. I haven't gone back to wheat or flour just the addtl. peach. Could that be messing me up?

    Thanks D

    Yes, search for Griff's entries

Takes a long time to rebalance the body after a lifetime of abuse

Ditch the scales they do you no good, you'll only obsess about it, few can control their obsessions

Don't expect to lose weight like you lose money @ a casino, the lower the expectations the less discouragement you'll encounter

Have you tried eliminating the peaches and seeing what happens?

I agree with Apex....try a few days of eliminating the peach and see if anything changes.

Get rid of the scale, it's not about a number, it's about how you look, how you feel and how you perform.

Definitely drop the fruit. When you're losing and you eat fruit, it causes insulin spikes which can cause you to eat more and then either stall a loss or cause you to gain.

I agree with the 'ditch the fruit' replies. However, just a note - exercise can and does burn carbs first, and it also helps regulate insulin. So - adding some exercise after eating excess carbs may help you burn it off and keep making progress (pressuming you are really attached to keeping the peaches).

thanks guys! The scales weren't what was bothering me as much as the return of the pain in my feet (which had been wonderfully absent the last 5-6 wk). In reality it was the one thing I noticed first (having lived with it for the last 5 yrs). The painfree days, the mental clarity were the big things (the scales were the proverbial cherry on top)!

I have been peach free for 3 d now, will let you know how it goes.

Thanks again for the wonderful support!

Not sure if you snore at night but I can tell you that was the thing my wife was the most happy to see go away. I bought the addidas skeltoes back in February when they came out and I dont ever have any foot pain whereas before my arches always would hurt if I walked to far.
