I hear Wordpress is open source, and open source stuff is cool, so Wordpress.

There is a built in limit of x amount of posts in said thread and then you can't edit the title, it will let you but it doesn't change anything, you do have the option of deleting the thread and starting a new one

I went to siteground.com and got the URL for my blog. They have tools that let you pick whatever open source software you want and it installs it for you. I picked wordpress, then used Artisteer to make the theme. It wasn't free, but it was cheap, and I control it. With blogspot, if they want to delete it or use a crappy server, nothing you can do about it.

WordPress works well for me. I haven't tried BlogSpot or any other platform so I can't compare.

Using wordpress.com predesigned blogs is easy. You can upload images to customize. They have lots of blog styles to choose from. But you will be using a URL like mysite.wordpress.com.

If you want your own URL like mysite.com, you need to go with the package from wordpress.org. Installing it is fairly technical. Some web hosts will help you. I use Laughing Squid. Their technical people have been very helpful and their instructions are clear. If you start with wordpress.com, Squid will help you convert, however I was able to do my own conversion.

One of my blogs is with wordpress.com, the other is made from the tools at wordpress.org.

Would it be useful to have a blogger sticky?

I design websites and blogs for a living. If you would like a blog or website designed by someone who understands Primal, see my web page.

Primal Blueprint Explorer My blog for people who are not into the Grok thing. Since starting the blog, I have moved close to being Archevore instead of Primal. But Mark's Daily Apple is still the best source of information about living an ancestral lifestyle.

I have been using Blogspot for a few months now and I really like it. Easy to set up and use, and the tracking features are pretty simple too.
