I'm a triathlete and have just started the PB diet. I feel very weak on my swim, bike and run workouts even when going easy. Is this normal for the first while while my body adjusts? Will this change after a couple of weeks?

    Thanks

Yes. You need to make the metabolic shift from burning carbs to burning fats. It takes at least three weeks, sorry Hang in there!

    Canadian,

You might also want to do a Forum Search for, "Low-Carb Flu"...a lot of people here experienced the same thing. But it does get better...and then you'll feel your energy come back ten-fold :-D

Oddly enough I felt flu-like tonight. Thanks. I'll look it up.

I am definately no pro here, nor an athlete, but it is common and to be expected. Marks talks about it in several of his posts and many of us have experienced to varying degrees.
