    Almost by definition, the weight is going to have to bounce. Keep track in some chart where it will graph it and slowly but surely you will get to see the downward trend. The 5:2 progress tracker has a chart, the MFP also shows a chart when you check the Reports. I tend to only record my low day weights in both. Even those do bounce but the trend is definitely down. Keep the faith!

    sleep was better last night.. lately though I wake tired and stay tired. Anyway.. today is the last full day of school, tomorrow is a half a day. Today we are taking our students out of the building most of the day. We are walking to a giant church (@ 5 blocks) where we will show a movie to culminate their science projects and then in the afternoon, we are taking them bowling.

    Yesterday's food was just shameful. I did not get home until after 7pm so lunch and dinner were eaten out.
    Today is a fast day. I plan to drink a lot of fluids. I am thinking if I can not make it until dinner I will eat an avocado. I am thinking the fats will help sustain until I get home.

    Avocado sounds yumm. You need to stop worrying about what you eat on non-fast days. Get the fasting days down first. This is not a quick answer that you are going to get the first week. If 500 is just too hard shoot for 700 until that is easy, then squeeze it down to 500. Once you get that down for 2 non-consecutive days a week, then figure out what you are going to do for the other 5 days.

    Me too When I first tried JUDDD, I started with 700 calorie down days. Then, I was easily doing 200-300 calories. As much as I just wanted to jump right in, things didn't work like that for me.

    My Fast Days are so much easier than the eating days. I even found myself thinking about going to a 4 hr eating window this morning, but I realize that I would not get in enough nutrition to cover my needs if I did that every day.
