sleep is a bit elusive.. awake.. but getting sleepy since I just took a percoset. The biggest comfort to me now is broth (instant- yeah I know) and cran apple juice. I am drinking both liberally.

Doing a happy dance for benign!!

Gotta listen to the body, it knows what it needs to heal. Hope sleep becomes less elusive!

Almost said good morning and its 2pm..lol

Feeling better. I tire quickly and sleep (nap) a lot. Feeling a little steadier and stronger though. The doc said it just takes rest. I am not yet on hormones (not sure how they will impact my weight loss journey when I start again). However, I am either cold and under a blanket or warm- I half soaked a pillow the other day during a nap. In my 2 week follow up I will be checking into estrogen unless symptoms become unbearable before then.

To be honest I am eating what I want. Its not all bad though. There is some sugar (mostly in the form of hard candies to keep my mouth from drying out) and some egg noodles in some soups.

I have been trying to research weightloss after a hysterectomy and it all sounds like a crap-shoot. I am trying to be positive though and not discouraged since I am not going to start this until I am healed completely.

I still have moments of OMG.. I just had a hysterectomy! However, they are becoming less and less and more accepting. I know this was a good idea in the long run.

I was thinking that once things even out, it should be easier for you to lose weight on Primal. It seems that some post menopausal women do pretty well on here. It is the hormone imbalances that seem to make me crazy. JMO

Well since my body will not be making any hormones but I need estrogen, I wonder how messed up I am going to be?

Decide that you will not be and see if you can convince your body of it. (I know, if it worked we would all be thin, but really there is no point in worrying about something you cannot change, you just have to do the best you can.)
