I'd boycott your mom's food then.
If I just said LOL, I lied. Do or do not. There is no try.

Maybe I'll pick up a spare sweet potato tonight and roast it in the oven (and bring some butter) when we get there.

    my motivation

    As per Marcadav:
    Do 30-60 days clean primal.
    No grains, sugar, alcohol.
Eat 3 meals and primal snacks.
    Don't track food.
    Don't tweak.
Don't expect issues to go away quickly. Instead, just follow the plan and see how things play out.
Decide on an exercise plan you can/will do consistently during the 30-60 days and then do it.

Grr, I am feeling very irritable today. I hope I can blame it on poor sleep and it's not some new issue I'm going to have to figure out. I have very little patience with work things today and am counting down the hours till I can go home (2 hrs 11 min).

I prefer a sweet potato to mashed anyway! I like them without butter too.

Funny thing, I've given them up for now bc of carbs, but I think when I increase carbs later, I will have that first. A lovely roasted sweet potato. Weird how you start to change from a pizza, cake, ice cream, to something delicious and healthy but high in carbs.

Absolutely. I rarely ate fruit when I ate SAD, but when I was feeling my best earlier this year (before all the digestive issues and resulting depression), I ate a few pieces a day and was very active. I've never enjoyed oranges so much as I did then!

    Feeecckkkk

Feeling depressed, stressed out, bored, weepy etc. I'm not doing my hair tonight. I don't think it would help me feel better. The steak strips I cooked last night were pretty raw in the middle, apparently, and Boyfriend texted me asking if I could let him know when something in the fridge isn't cooked through. 1. I didn't know, I figured he'd heat it in the micro and if it wasn't cooked, it'd be fine, 2. not helpful to tell me right now via text, but he doesn't know I'm feeling crummy. I'm trying to figure out how little I can get away with doing tonight. I'd rather go shopping in the madness tomorrow than go out feeling anxious tonight, but I can't think of anything else to do.

Curl up with a movie, play a game, learn a new stitch or technique in your favorite hobby. Something to keep your brain preoccupied.
