I made that threat or the threat to rip it's vid card out through the floppy slot multiple times a day when I worked IT back in college. I was well known for getting to a certain point with a supposedly unfixable computer, giving it a look that would make Satan himself cower and the threatening to rip critical pieces of its anatomy out through absurdly small holes. It worked a good quarter of the time.
