    Canned Tomatoes

    Primal Fuel
I have been experimenting with different meals and have been putting a pound of grass fed ground beef and a can of fire roasted tomatoes into a pan and wala, an easy high protein low carb meal. Are canned tomatoes ok to eat?

There's the nightshade-avoidance group, but most of use eat them with no ill-effects (they cause an inflamatory response for those who are sensitive to them). Just watch the labels because many of the canned tomatoes have sugar added. It's a preservative that cuts acidity and helps them retain their texture. Sounds tasty!

Wonder if BPA in canned foods is still a problem.
I'm retraining and strengthening my taste buds, one primal meal at a time.

    Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: Yes, if you're not sensitive to nightshades and make sure to choose a can sans sugar or other nonsense, with a BPA-free liner.
