    I do accounting work for a living and have always been fascinated with numbers, calculators and spreadsheets, so I find it fun and relaxing to track everything, not to mention informative. Knowledge is power!

    Feb 2009 - 158 pounds - 43.6% body fat
    Aug 2013 - 138 pounds - 34.3% body fat
    So far, lost 19.8 pounds of body fat and gained 1.8 pounds of lean mass
    Goal - 136 pounds - 30% body fat
    Still need to lose 6.4 more pounds of body fat and gain 4.2 more pounds of lean mass

    DAY 3 RESULTS

    2186 calories
    184.8g fat (76.1%)
    105.5g protein
    25g total carbs
    10.3g fiber
    14.7g net carbs

    Awake - 5:10 am
    Breakfast - 5:30 am - 6:05 am
    5:55 hours fasting
    Lunch - 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm
    5:45 hours fasting
    Dinner - 6:15 pm - 7:00 pm

    The goal is to eat within 30 minutes of waking up, lunch 5-6 hours after breakfast and dinner 5-6 hours after lunch and 4-5 hours before bed.

    I weighed and measured this morning.

    Today - 12" neck, 31.5" waist, 39.625" hips - 34.8% body fat
    Yesterday - 12" neck, 31.5" waist, 39.625" hips - 34.8% body fat
    Neck, waist and hips stayed the same
    Body fat decreased by 0%

    Since starting 3 days ago:
    Waist decreased 3/8"
    Body fat decreased 0.5%


    Today - 50.4 lbs. body fat - 94.4 lbs. lean mass - 145.4 lbs.
    Yesterday - 50.6 lbs. body fat - 94.8 lbs. lean mass - total 145.4 lbs.

    Lost 0.2 lbs. of body fat and lost 0.4 lbs. of lean mass
    Lost 0.6 lbs. on the scale

    Since starting 3 days ago:
    Lost 1.1 lbs. of body fat and lost 0.1 lbs. of lean mass
    Lost 1.2 lbs. on the scale


    Yesterday, I went to bed at 9:15 pm and read until 9:45 pm. I did not sleep well - lots of tossing and turning - in my blacked out bedroom ( I even cover my alarm clock numbers to block out the light) and woke up without an alarm at 5:50 am this morning.

    My FIL dies of Alzheimers 3 years ago and like your family, there certainly is a genetic predisposition. So I will be very interested in your site.

    I trained to be an accountant and I cannot think of anything worse then counting and measuring!

    Actually the idea of staring at 50 grams of protein within 30 minutes is too much, at the moment I can barely face my 3 eggs.

    But I am fascinated by this leptin reset idea so I will be following.

    Let me know what you think of the site after you look at it, okay?

    It is still a little forced for me to eat my 3 eggs, ounce of cheddar and 3 thick slices of bacon as soon as I get up, but I do it. At this point, I would be willing to stick needles in my eyes if I thought it would help! Eating till I'm stuffed? Not that big of a deal!

    Cool idea to track this way.
    Your before pics look great. A lot of people would be very happy if their after pics looked like that! I'm not sure if you need the leptin reset based on how Dr Kruse explained who needs it, but if it helps, so what? I'm in the same boat. I did it to switch from grazing to see what happens.

    Have you tried taking the progesterone at bedtime? It can help with sleep, especially if you are on other hormones.

    Thanks for the compliment! I did talk to Dr. Kruse on his blog, and he said that with 35% body fat and high Reverse T3, I needed to do the reset, and he told me not to exceed 25 net carbs, to boot.

    Have you tried taking the progesterone at bedtime? It can help with sleep, especially if you are on other hormones.
    I apply progesterone cream in the morning, I take progesterone pills at bedtime (they do help me sleep), I take T3/T4 two hours after breakfast and I have a testosterone implant in my backside that gets replaced every four months. I am BHRTed up, baby!
