    Fasting glucose: 82 mg/dL

    Total cholesterol: 171 mg/dL

    Triglycerides: 113 mg/dL

    HDL: 68 mg/dL


    After: Muscled Mighty Mite, Oct 2009 (age 46)

    Fasting glucose: 85 mg/dL

    Total cholesterol: 228 mg/dL

    Triglycerides: 55 mg/dL

    HDL: 99 mg/dL


    Is that cool or what?

    @klcrbaugh Thanks! I just wanted to post "before and after" numbers in case there was anyone else out there worried that eating Primal would "ruin their already good blood lipid numbers" (confession--the total cholesterol was the first number I saw and I did momentarily freak out--then I used the search function to find all of Griff's previous posts on the subject).

    I've been considering going to the doctor to request blood work to see where I'm at as well. Kinda wish I'd also done that before going primal so I can compare. Haven't been to the doctor in a few years. Great job!

    I also had bloodwork done way back in Apr 2004 and the values were pretty much the same as Nov 2007, so the recent changes really are significant (not random fluctuation).


    Before-Before: Apr 2004 (age 41)

    Fasting glucose : 85 mg/dL

    Total cholesterol : 160 mg/dL

    Triglycerides: 106 mg/dL

    HDL: 57 mg/dL
