    Handstand technical question

    Primal Fuel
    Hi primal folks!

My objective for the summer is to be able to walk on my hands. I'm currently doing 10-15 minutes of practice a day while waiting for the bus. I'm getting better at it, and got to 7 ''steps'' just this morning. Yesterday, a friend of mine saw me practicing and told me I have to look behind me. I'm currently looking at the ground or a little in front of me because it's what felt the most natural at first.

Here's my question for those of you who master this upside-down skill: do I look behind me or at the ground? Or is it just a comfort thing?

    Thanks!

When in a handstand, it's preferable to have a neutral head position (i.e., head staring back between your arms). However, if you're still learning and practicing handstand walking, it is helpful to gaze toward the ground a bit. Work on keeping your head neutral though.
Are you a college student, trying to navigate college while being Primal? Do you know any other PB college students on a tight budget? Heck, for that matter, are YOU trying to live Primal on a budget? Enroll at Primal University!

Thanks for those links, folks. It got me motivated to do some handstands. I'm thinking that the flag looks pretty awesome too.

Thanks for the info guys! Seems like both are acceptable, the one I'm doing now is just a little less pleasing to the eye.

Nice. My objective is to be able to lift up into handstand and hold it strong without the wall this sumer. Walking would be a bonus I'm doing this through yoga; if it's worth anything, we're always taught to look between our hands.
