My thoughts exactly! If there weren't cool looking obstacles.....I wouldn't do it lol. It comes to my area in October! I have several friends doing it too!

So, I'm 99% sure I'm racing in September with a bunch of friends. I think we'll have a good time.

A few other friends competed last year and they said to where clothes that you plan on throwing away. :-)

For the folks doing the New England Warrior expect a long hard slog through mud. At some points it WILL be knee deep. (I meant to post this earlier, but a nap got in the way.)

The race today was a lot of fun, the biggest surprise was the amount of mud. I've practiced running on beautifully paved tracks, and I expected some basic trail running... well all the rain we've had blew that out of the water. The energy is awesome, even the police that pulled crowd duty are happy and relaxed.

Good music, food and drink is on a ticket system, buy your tickets, then get what you want. I'd strongly advise bringing a pair of sandals, get out of your buddy shoes and clean up under the "Bonus" obstacle, two snow makers. I think THAT was the toughest part of the race.

CHEERS and enjoy! I'm doing this one again!

What distance is it? I couldn't find any info on what the obstacles are, the distance, etc. But it looks fabulous!

Never mind, I found the info on the page for my local race.

3.02 miles, which isn't a biggy, but it was a mud slog, in the good parts covered my five fingers, in bad places hit my mid calf, and in a couple spots my knees. No traction to be had either, was pretty crazy.

The obstacle list was inaccurate for us, but I will say - there was barbed wire, there was fire, there were walls.

I'm doing the Carolinas Warrior Dash with a friend in August. It'll be my first, but only the obstacles are a challenge. I'm one of those people that run because it's fun and FEELS GOOD to me. I can't wait to try this!
