If I hadn't been doing Whole 30, I would have been able to have a nice Primal meal from their buffet. Two lovely green salads (easy enough to avoid croutons), steamed veggies, oven roasted potatos, baked chicken, fresh fruit on the dessert buffet, all that great cheese. Easy enough to avoid the baking and the rolls. The rest would have been doable if I was allowing myself dairy products. I even avoided the streamed veggies to prevent eating butter.

Out of 140 (mostly) women, there were maybe 3 or 4 that would be considered overweight, none were obese. Compared to a random group of Canadian or American women, that's a rare thing. We are doing something right!

for my little victories . for a 47 year old guy. 5'7" peak weight of 255+lb. (2 years ago)

I started p90x then found primal about 2 week into it. it has been 8 more week since, and I am down from 245 to 215 (during the 10 weeks) . my waist is down at least 6", and XL shirts looks too baggy to wear. had to buy new set of undies (large shirt and med briefs) still holding off buying pants until I hit my weight goal of sub 190.

allergies are gone. while I sneeze, symptoms are almost non existent without meds.
my wedding ring fits again. (I am back to wedding weight, but much fitter now)
    I have lot more energy
I am not starving anymore. can easily control what appetite I have.
can wear my full dress piper uniform again.
all my suits fit again. (dont wear suit normally, so they are from my wedding days again over 10 years ago)

    all good things

I keep getting compliments...on my hair, or my clothes. People either can't figure out what is different, or they don't want to say "Have you lost weight?"

I just smile and say thanks!

    Congrat Primalfamily and thedarkmistress!

And Marthat, no offense intended - I thought the list of foods in your first post was an average sample of what was there - it sounds like it was a pretty well balanced SAD buffet.

Edit - one little triumph for me too - bought a few tank tops - size small O.O

None taken. I realized that I didn't represent it very well. Easier spread for primal eating than some years, with lovely gourmet pizzas or fancy sub bun type sandwiches as the only choices. With SAD, it's often all about the portion size, and if anyone knows portion sizes, it's going to be a room full of dietitians, eh?

Down from a size 6 (US Womens) to a size 4!!! I never thought I'd have to get rid of any clothes, but some shorts I bought 5 years ago are waaay too big!
