Despite failing to properly incorporate the "sprint every once in a while" part of the Primal fitness plan into my life (a current goal of mine) I seem to have somehow gotten better at it anyway. Today while walking to and from the train on my way to meet someone, I had the worst possible luck and kept seeing the flashing "do not walk" hand start up when I was still only halfway to the intersection. So I ended up sprinting through about ten blocks' worth of intersections this morning, which as someone who has always been terrible at running, is a big deal for me.

Also, I managed to actually lose weight during Thanksgiving by eating Primally. And also did not suffer from the usual food coma and the like, so that was cool.

I find triumphs in the little things that I keep discovering along the way, even when I think there can't be much more. Over the last few months, I've noticed that my eye sight seems to have changed - sometimes its actually easier to see things without my glasses. This morning I discovered a whole thread on this topic and the idea that there is a poor eyesight/sugar connection so maybe I'm not imagining it after all.

"I find triumphs in the little things that I keep discovering along the way"

    I TOTALLY relate to that!

A little recent triumph: Heavy cream replaced chocolate cravings and fruit binging. The minute I top some fruit with a splash of cream, that is all I need, no more reruns to the fridge!

A BIG triumph: IBS under control, or better said, under my grasp, the minute I let go, the minute IBS strikes back. I have the control now!

I finally did it! I finally did it! (well, not just me, I had a LOT of help along the way!)

50 POUNDS LOST!!!!! It only took 3 years. (I was stuck at 48 for the last six months, but some underlying health issues are starting to turning around and the scale is moving again.)

And IBS is under control, and binge eating disorder is almost entirely a thing of the past, and getting Hashimoto's reined in, and chronic fatigue is lifting, and see the first page of my journal for about 50 other major & minor improvements I've seen!

Doctor [after he calcs my BMI]: "You're a little overweight, here's a list of foods you should be eating"
Me [takes a look at CW nonsense and laughs]: I've been doing pretty much the exact opposite and lost 40kg.
Doctor [somewhat taken aback]: "Just keep doing whatever you've been doing"

Next time visit a different doctor, when discussing my medical history I mention I got gallstones but instead of having my gall bladder removed I opted to treat the cause and lose weight and get healthy instead. Doc say he would never guess from looking at me, asks me how I did it. I explain Paleo to him, and he instead of giving me warnings he gets super enthusiastic about it, asks a bunch of questions, gets me to recommend him Primal blueprint, says how he wants to get his patients into it and makes my visit free!
