My personal triumph is moving AWAY from the scale and enjoying the visual fat loss. I already need a new notch in my belt.
Oh yeah, and that whole mental clarity thing is cool.

wow 50 pounds in about 3 months that is awesome!
I'm too stubborn to give up so I keep on trying.
You're never going to get to the top of the stairs if you don't walk up them.
Signed up for an 8-week fitness challenge at my boyfriend's gym. Have gotten up two days in a row at 5:15am to make it there by 6am... and today, I came home, showered, and rode my bike to work.Woot! Gonna be sore tomorrow, lol. Also, I finally learned how to do a proper pushup. Now to work on doing it from the toes instead of the knees.
While at the doctor's office this morning the nurse asked my age. She seriously thought I was in my 20s (I am 44). I've always looked younger than I am, but recently someone else commented on my weight loss and said that I was not just looking slimmer, but younger as well. I expect I'll look like a teenager by the time I've lost all I want to lose.![]()

I went to the foot dr today for a 3 and 4 month follow up on the foot surgery's I had this summer (left and right feet). The nurse said, "ummm did you get your hair done? " I said no. She kept staring and said," you are just glowing! I can not explain it any other way." I said, "well, I changed the way I eat back in August. No grains, no sugar and no legumes. Maybe its just good health?" She was non-commital but said again, "you look great! well you are just glowing!"
best compliment I have had in a while!

The more I've been reading and learning about cooking (especially meat cooking) the more I've been transitioning to cast-iron cookware. Today, I hauled out my new big 12 inch skillet and realized that I was hooking my meal AND getting a decent arm workout all in one!

Just finished my first eight weeks of being primal and I'm down 30 lbs. Feel great and I'm not even really tempted by bread, candy etc... Just feeling good all the way around. I'm actually not even trying hard anymore, just living, eating and playing. If I feel inflammation I take some extra fish oil. I've eaten a lot of different things lately so my body kind of knows what foods have what it needs and so if I need something I just get hungry for it. And then i eat it. Pretty simple really.
