A lady at work told me I look great and that I must have lost a lot of weight... I've been about 79% primal again for about 2 weeks now and people are already noticing!

Westly, that's great! I love seeing absolutely normal blood glucose readings. One of the best feelings of relief ever.



My triumph, which is kinda also a gripe - I emptied my closet out after 11 months starting primal. Two and half garbage bags being donated and another full two garbages that I'll take to a clothes exchange soon.My closet is bare now. And the last of my clothes that I do have - 50% of the bottoms are being cinched with saftely pins.

Our latest triumph: DH stopped by the clinic where I work where I could put him on one of our 'official' scales (the one we have at home sucks!). He's dropped over 60 pounds in 3 months! He's now below the 300# mark. A co-worker that hadn't seen him in over a month commented that he looked "happier, more relaxed and just -better- in general"... big change from the hobbling-with-a-walking-stick, over-tired, grumbly mountain she knew.

I don't mind wearing clothes from Ross/TJMaxx, so the triumph is getting to buy some new clothes finally! And a lot of the clothes have a lot of bad memories, most regarding my size - so it's best to get rid of them. So there's a small triumph too - letting tons of old emotional baggage go away.

Three triumphs for me this weekend -all silly girl things, but they made me happy:

1. I went on a date tonight. I know - mundane everyday thing for most. But a year ago I was exhausted, in pain, and considered myself UNDATEABLE! Tonight I wore a super cute outfit of leggings and a sort-of sexy sweater dress and didn't have to try to cover up any of my body. I am pretty sure I actually looked kinda good..... I am pretty sure he thought so too

2. I finally got up the nerve to pack up my bigger clothes. All the 10's, 12's and 14's (and one pair of size 16's I'm still in denial about) are packed up and stored away. All that remains are size 6, 4, and the occasional 2. I like these numbers much better

3. I was shopping for a cute outfit for my date. When I went to pick out leggings I was trying to decide if the snobby sales woman helping me would roll her eyes if I said I wanted a medium instead of large - when I asked for the medium, she looked me up and down and said "you'll drown in the medium dear, you need a small"

It is almost unbelievable what a difference one year has made in my life.

I can now fit into a vest top that my sister bought me for Christmas about 4 years ago but which I have never worn (it still had the label on!!). I absolutely love it, which is why I have kept it all this time and I am ridiculously pleased that I will be able to wear it (and feel good in it) for the first time when we go on holiday next week. :-D

Wooo!!! The last time I tried on these jeans, I could barely button them -- let alone walk/sit/do anything in them. Today, they fit PERFECTLY. And this is after only a week of eating primal. \o/

On Friday I got several several compliments-
A male former co-worker (whom I hadn't seen in months) came up behind me and whispered in my ear "damn you're a sexy bitch!"
One of my husband's friends called me "tiny"
My own mother said she didn't recognize me walking towards her, she said "because I looked so skinny"
A different former co-worker (whom I hadn't seen in years) said I looked great

It feels REALLY REALLY good. But, I'm still over 200lbs, imagine how sexy I'll be when I get in the 100's!
