Backed off the BAB a bit this am... and it isn't quite holding me til lunch... still going to hang on til lunch... don't know what I'm going to have...ohhh wait I do... BAS w/some salmon burger and avocado....
I also will have my telecon appt w/my VA Doc... to talk tests... granted I 've already paid to have them run...but If I can talk her into them... that's a good thing... I'm also going to talk w/her about DrK's blog... Fingers crossed it goes better than w/Kaiser... BTW I'm so disappointed w/Kaiser I'm srsly considering going back to UHC for the flexibility of going to what ever docs I want to see... plus at least UHC covered some of my chiropractor apts... I' can't believe I'm saying that...
I don't usually do dairy on HCG, though, so that makes me go hmmmm. However, I have added fats and eggs to the VLCD on P2 in the past with good results, because I needed to keep my gallbladder contracting. The key is starting with the additions in the first week. My calories are still low because I can't have the fructose/fructans allowed on protocol: grissini, apple, onion, asparagus - so the fats and additional protein from the eggs help keep me up to 500 calories (or more.)
If I wasn't gaining, I would definitely stick with the Leptin Reset and not be running back to HCG. Guess I should have gone no dairy from the beginning to give it a fair shot. But now I feel somewhat desperate to lose this weight as I am going to see family next month, and my clothes don't fit. It's very discouraging to be eating healthy and gaining so quickly. I plan to continue protein in the morning, no snacking, and 3 meals a day during protocol, but obviously will not be able to do 50 gr of protein in the morning.
If I could just find satiety once again, then I could do the Leptin Reset on P3. One would think that by eating a BAB, then the body would want less at the other meals - I think this was my missing piece. I had no hunger or cravings between meals (which was a nice change from where I started), but no satiety at or after any meal. However, if I still have no satiety when I go off the HCG at the end of this round, I plan to keep track of calories on the Leptin Reset during P3, so I don't just gain it back again.
This thread is annoying me.
Clearly I missed something by not getting in at the ground floor.
But, there is no way I am going to read over 500 pages to get caught up.
Cliff notes anyone?
