Dips!! How to progress, how to achieve, and how to challenge yourself!

I am wondering what to do once I get ten reps with a 100lb dumbbell (up to 6 yesterday). Trying to weave a chain through multiple plates is too much of a pain. Dips are important for me because I stopped flat benching.
Dips was always something that for some reason I get a sharp pain right above my collarbone.. not sure why. So I don't do them anymore... hm.
@shazkar: you probably have a trigger point in your scalene muscles in your neck. self massage can make it go away, albeit painfully.
