Broke through a plateau I've been trapped in for months. Wife and I both lost weight. I'm now two pounds under this plateau. Yeah, it's just a psychological victory, but it seems that adding nuts and vegetables back into the mix has done the trick. Nice to be going in the right direction again.

Personally, I think psychological victories are VERY important.

    Kudos!

    I grok, therefore I am.

Congrats dixonge! I totally agree with the psychological victories. I've actually put on 5 lbs since I became primal but my clothes fit better now than they did when I was the same weight pre-primal. But I still want the scales to move in the opposite direction. It's frustrating to see my weight only go up (no, it's not muscle, I hardly work out).

Excellent! I've stepped away from the scales for the moment and am just going by how my clothes feel. A big boost was having to get rid of most of my wardrobe (charity shop was very happy!) and buy new, smaller clothes. I have a friend I see every couple of weeks and he is also very good at dishing out the 'wow you look fantastic' compliments as well.

But I completely understand the elation at breaking the barrier, that's for sure!

Psychology is very, very important in how we perceive ourselves - this is something I have learned a great deal about in the last almost 8 weeks!

Good for you! My body has always gone in stops & starts so I know how those plateau's feel. Breaking thro' is awesome, both phychologially & physically!

So far here are the other adjustments I've made:

    - less caffeinated soft drinks (down to just 2 per day)

    - less coffee (not a big drop)

    - added nuts and berries to the diet

    - no more sabritas (Mexican peanuts)

    - added some veggies back to diet

    - started taking the stairs more often (lots of opportunities at work)

That's about it. Will resume kettlebell soon.

Woohoo!!! I too have broken a small plateau by adding some coconut oil bark into my daily routine. (Super yummy, and keeping things um... regular. lol)

The more I see the less I know for sure.
