Applegate Farms organic beef burgers: $5.49 marked down from $10.99.

    I purchased 6 boxes.

Rural southern Utah. There are two small-ish markets about 45 minutes away; nearest large market is in Cedar City, 1 hrs. away (when the road isn't closed by snow or slides).

There are lots of Krogers around here, but I haven't seen Applegate meats. Are they in the freezer section?

I always check the "natural foods" section of my local Kroger for dairy. I've gotten Horizon organic heavy whipping cream for 0.50/pint (originally 3.49) and got several BIG tubs (1000g) of Fage for 0.99 (originally 7.49).

That's an awesome deal! I love a cooked hamburger diced into a salad.

This Kroger (Richmond, Texas) has a large natural foods section, more than a "corner". They were in that section's freezer area.

Yes, of my grocery store options, Kroger has the best clearance prices - often on meat and produce. I have to be careful what other things I buy there, but the clearance is worth the trip. Early mornings and late night in during weekdays is best.

I also got non primal hubby clearance lunches.
