Please help me delete my account

I didn't realize two people can't have accounts on one computer. Can you please delete my account as my friend will be using this forum more.

My attempts at sending a PM are not working. Never heard back from last PM. I am not seeing options on how to delete an account.

If there is a way to delete myself, please let me know. Thanks!

I don't think you'll be able to delete your account or have it deleted for you. Depending on the forum structure used, deleting a user could compromise the integrity of the database (consider that your account is linked to various posts, comments, and other 'unseen' aspects of the forum).

Not saying it can't be done, I don't know what they use here, but be aware that it may not be possible for purely technical reasons.

You may, however, be able to request a username change and, of course, change the email address that the account is linked to.

I am not going to create a fake account just to check, but I really doubt that's true. (If it is true, it's a stupid anti-spam measure.)

If you have separate user accounts on the computer itself you can have a second user ID. Using separate browsers will also work (i.e.: one person uses Internet Explorer, another uses Firefox). Note: Chrome has been problematic for me on MDA.

Once the second account exists I *believe* you can access either from the same browser.

OK, I did just create a second account just to check.

    No problem.

It might be a cookie issue - this site sends the computer a cookie to "remember" you the next time so you don't have to log in again. Just remember to log out each time, so the next person can log in separately. (Login/Logout is at the top of the page).

Thanks for the replies. Attempts to register a new account keeps generating this reply:

"You are not allowed to register multiple accounts on this forum."

Can I please get a user name change then?

Edited to add: Trying under another browser generated the same message. Trying different emails isn't working. Also tried clearing recent history.

You could try logging out, clearing your browser cookies, restart your browser and THEN try again. The separate browser trick worked for me when I eff-up my initial registration. HOWEVER, clearing those cookies may clear stuff you don't want cleared!
