My Total Cholesterol runs 257 and has not changed over the past 3 years despite weight loss, going low carb and now primal. I even added copper supplements per Paul Jaminet's recommendations, no change. My HCL and triglycerides are good.
I discussed my objections to statins with my new primary care doctor and she recommended a coronary calcium scan. It's not covered by insurance but at a cost of $125 is equal to a couple of months of co-pays. My coronary calcium score came in at zero, now I and my doctor are at ease.
Zero. Quite a number. Good for you.
