People say I am on a "crazy" diet. What is so crazy about eating veggies, fruits, seafood and organ meats? Just because I don't eat whole wheat and processed food doesn't make my diet "crazy". Maybe everyone else with a SAD are the "crazy" ones for putting that junk in their system.

So nourishing! but didn't the original poster mention that this was during a fast?

I wonder how long one could survive on bone-broth alone... SO nourishing...

I love rooibus tea. If not fasting, mix with a scant spoon of coconut oil and coconut milk. Also decaf chai tea is good with that too. Otherwise I would stick to ginger or peppermint tea if you want to avoid caffeine.

The protein available in bone broth is not complete. They would still be available for glucogenesis and ketogenesis, but lean body mass will still be depleted.

I was going to suggest hot chocolate, but doesn't cacao have a small amount of caffeine as well?

When I'm sick, all I want is real bone broth with a raw egg in it and some very softened avocado in it. When I start feeling a little better, I add to that seaweed and whitefish or chicken, but thats hard to stomach when you are VERY sick. Do you think the raw egg makes it a complete protein?

Just curious about my 'primal sick meal' ...sorry to hijack the thread!

Numi now has a "Green Rooibos" that's really great. I want to suggest my favorite after dinner, but I still need something....
Unsweetened almond milk heated with vanilla, cinnamon, stevia to taste and a big spoon of coconut cream.
    Magnificent!!!!

Just like coffee, with all the benefits, minus the caffeine.

herbal tea (rooibos based) & crio bru... but I think crio contains natural caffeine because it's straight chocolate.

    oh, thought of another one!
    bone broth/stock.

I really like Republic of Tea and Zhena's Gypsy Tea Co for teas.
