    On a more serious note, I know someone who was just diagnosed with cancer. Doctor told him to get off the vegan diet before chemo - that it was actually helping feed the cancer!

    When my brother in law was diagnosed with internal melanoma (he died 1 year ago this Friday - May 20), they told him to go ON a vegan diet. Nothing like consistency.
    People too weak to follow their own dreams will always try to discourage others.

    Wow. I hate that I'm so cynical of the medical "establishment" that this is surprising.

    I'm sorry for your loss. With this sort of advice being the mainstream I welcome the sort of inconsistency that leads to the advice above. As the numbers bear us out I just hope that people begin to wonder about what's wrong with the mainstream advice instead of dismissing these results as another "paradox".
