    Men's One a Day Supplement

    Primal Fuel
I swore off all pills and supplements on May 1st. Everything has been great so far but I was wondering ig I took it too far at first.

To the point. Is it fine to take a Men's One a Day supplement each morning? It doesn't look dangerous at all and has some good stuff packed in.

Here is a link to the ingredients. One A Day Men's Health Formula

    Thanks guys and GROK ON!

I would say go for it. Before taking a supplement I always tell people to plug their daily food intake into fitday.com or some other nutrient calculator to see what your WOE is lacking, and then pick a supplement from that data to fill in any gaps. Personally I like Alive! Multivitamin with no iron added.

I have a multivitamin every morning. It's the generic version of the One-A-Day Gummies (makes me feel like I am eating candy). I also drink a glass of Green SuperFood.

My frustration is that nearly all multi's have stuff I don't want. I think. The ingredients are always in 1 pt type that even my reading glasses won't read.

A haba clerk at Whole Foods helped me look for a simple multi with no extras. She found exactly one out of all the products they carry.

Some supplements are a good idea still. The best approach is to work with a good doc that does the right tests and knows what to use so you are not guessing. Mine are based on regular blood tests. (I just got back from the lab for my latest, BTW).

    What I’m doing:

-Omega 3 Fishoil (At least 6 a day)
    -DHEA/Pregnenolone (50mg/100mg)
-Vitamin D (10,000 IU) Most people would be fine with 2,000 IU.
-B Complex with Iron. I get a strong mix from my dr that also has Vit A, C, and a good mix of minerals like magnesium, zinc, selenium, copper, manganese, and chromium.
-Maitake D Fraction (360 mg) This is a mushroom extract that assists the immune system.
-Maitake SX Fraction (about 3,000 mg) This is a custom blend mixed with green tea that boosts insulin sensitivity.

I wish I could afford good blood work, my insurance wont cover anything but the basic stuff.
