Are these ingredients better than the cheesecake(schweddy balls) ?

Ingredients: Cream, Skim Milk, Liquid Sugar (Sugar, Water), Water, Sugar, Coconut Oil, Egg Yolks, Cocoa (Processed With Alkali), Corn Syrup, Wheat Flour, Vanilla Extract, Eggs, Soybean Oil, Cocoa, Whey (Milk), Rum, Salt, Milk, Barley Malt Extract, Natural Flavor, Soy Lecithin, Guar Gum, Milk Fat, Chocolate Liquor, Cocoa Butter, Whey Protein Concentrate (Milk), Vanilla Bean Seeds, Carrageenan, Molasses, Sodium Bicarbonate, Caramel Color.

Oh and I am not being a dick either, I am interested in making better choices when we choose to not be so paleo

Oh hohoho, do as I say, not as I do, eh? I never claimed to be perfect. I was on a deload week during a limited run of the greatest named ice cream in American history. I've gone 25 years without ever eating a pint of Ben & Jerry's. I had to start sometime And just to be clear, I didn't buy a pint of Schweddy Balls. I bought three. And ate them all. In a week. Unapologetically. And it was one of the best tasting store bought ice creams I've ever had.

If you must eat store bought ice cream, Ben & Jerry's Frozen Yogurt variety of Cherry Garcia is very popular with Martin Berkhan and crowd. If you go non-Paleo for a refeed, it's probably one of the best choices out there. Schweddy Balls contains soybean oil AND wheat, so it's a terrible choice for health. I just had to try it.

And for the record, I would consider Schweddy Balls healthier than that cheesecake recipe posted. Yes, Schweddy Balls may have wheat, soybean oil and sugar in it, but at least they can be loosely called "food". At least the body recognizes them as some type of nutrition. Half the ingredients in that cheesecake were chemicals. From a health standpoint, I'd rather eat a loaf of bread and a cup of sugar than aspartame and thickener artificially colored to appear like food.

Amazingly enough, I've never had one and I've been using this name for 12 years.

Ever hit up an Asian grocery store? The nearest one to me carries rice flour for $.99/1lb bag, and that's when it's not on sale (frequently goes on sale for $.69/lb). I buy it all the time to make my mochi

They also have a lot of obscure flours for pretty cheap as well, but I'm not sure of the selection. They probably do have tapioca flour for cheaper than Whole Foods, but again, I'm not sure of the prices.

Btw, I keep coming back to your thread to look at pictures of your food LOL. I need to get myself a stupid casserole dish -.-

A lot of the recent posts in this thread may have involved flours, but that's just because they're interesting and different. I really only use them because I've been on the UD2, and even then it's only once a week. They're not exactly good for you, and 90% of meals are just meat and vegetables. These aren't any kind of staples in my diet and only serve a purpose to get me large amounts of higher GI carbs at certain times. Most of the time, they're not healthy for you, so don't make them into any kind of habit or it'll become a slippery slope. Any time you turn a starch into a flour, it sends the GI through the roof, so unless you need very high GI carbs or a small amount of thickener for sauces or gravies or even the occasional breading, stay away from them.
Don't worry about that, I know full well what the purpose of your use of them is. I've been following the carb refeed thread as well, UD2.0 and all. I may consider giving that a go in the near future now that I've gotten back to a gym. I've been stuck in that "last few pounds" mode for a long while and am considering experimentation options, which may eventually include UD2.0.

Half a POUND of bourbon vanilla beans. Oh yea. Gonna put these to good use!

Time to pick up a big bottle of vodka and make my own extract. Or maybe a bottle of spiced rum to make rum flavored vanilla extract. Hmm..

Damn dude. I know it's not really expensive to make these meals, but once I am not barely living paycheck to paycheck, I'm gonna try some of these out.

Like so many things, they are much, much cheaper on the Internets.

Buying vanilla beans in grocery stores is akin to highway robbery. They charge way too much.

I found a pack of vanilla beans I bought off the Internet in my pantry the other day. Think I'll make some vanilla honey.

Only caveat when buying vanilla beans off the Internets: make sure they aren't giving you substandard stuff. You want bourbon beans if you can get them. Much richer flavor.
