A question about oils...
Hmm.. I have a question which might sound stupid because probably there are many topics about this but,,,
Why some people don't recommend at all coconut and palm oli, because of their pro-inflammatory properties (why? they have high amounts of omega-6?), but in this website it's totally opposite. I have grown up with the idea of "olive oil= the best one. Other oils= bad for health.

The reason is that saturated fats used to be villified and seen at THE cause of atherosclerosis and heart disease. This has been proven to NOT be true. Coconut oil is extremely high in saturated fat and palm oil is pretty high in it also. They are not inflammatory and both are extremely low in omega 6. Olive oil is ok in moderation. It is much higher in omega-6 than coconut or palm oils.
