I miss the stomach churning, gas pains that no medicine could stop, and horrible smells that a lady shouldn't make.
Seriously, I can't look at a piece of bread with any fondness - and I was a major(!) bread freak.

most of the things i miss are things that are still technically ok to eat, just not every day or as the basis of your meals, which even CW people would agree with I think. (rice with a variety of curries and pickles, ice cream, mangoes, chocolate, and more recently, yogurt).

Homemade waffles, tortilla chips, warm crusty bread with soups and stews, cornbread, grits (esp, cheesy grits), grilled cheese and BLT sandwiches, homemade mac and cheese (which was one of my easy go-to dishes when I didn't feel like cooking anything else).
When I first went primal, I would have killed for a slice of toast with butter and marmelade. I'm over that now, but I'm still fighting ice cream urges.

Cornbread. That's about it since PB is pretty darn liberal! I'm more a dairy girl anyway. Dairy is on hold for now though.

My Primal Battle Tome
Pizza. I surprisingly don't miss bread or grains as much as I thought I would, considering how much I previously ate (I'm guessing around 60+% of my diet before). But I love pizza, and we used to eat it at least once, if not twice weekly. I have had it twice in around four months, but it didn't "derail" me, mainly due to my mindset that I'm not on a diet, I just eat different than I used to (but with slightly reduced calories).
+1 While I miss all those bread products from time to time, usually if I try them they do taste like cardboard. Occasionaly I will try some good crunchy bread at a restaurant but the part I enjoy most is the butter or olive oil I put on it. I also enjoy sopping up juices from my plate. I need a primal sponge substitute. When I try sweets that I used to like they usually taste way to sweet now. I do still like real black liquorice once in a while.
