coconut/almond milk page

I was just at the store and took a few minutes in the organic aisle to stare at my non-dairy options. Almond milk/coconut milk, and then found the same in the refrigerated section. Is there any difference between what's on the shelf and what's kept cold? Which is preferred? Thanks!

Coconut milk in a can is closer to the real deal than, say, Silk Coconut Milk or So Delicious Coconut Milk. Silk & So Delicious are coconut milk BEVERAGES. Go for homemade or from the can.

Also, coconut milk in the can is usually cheaper...sometimes i can find them on sale for like 80c at the Asian markets
