    Primal as "Orthorexic"...wtf??

New Eating Disorders: Are They For Real?

Orthorexics: Those affected may start by eliminating processed foods, anything with artificial colorings or flavorings as well as foods that have come into contact with pesticides. Beyond that, orthorexics may also shun caffeine, alcohol, sugar, salt, wheat and dairy foods. Some limit themselves to raw foods.
So now healthy is deemed an eating disorder.

This is a nebulous label that can be applied to almost any food preference. Nonsense. Clinical conditions already have enough descriptives.

Those definitions are too simplistic and don't really convey what the disorder actually is. It's a distilled puff piece and shouldn't be taken seriously.

This. Orthorexia actually does describe a pattern of disordered eating. This crappy article fails to mention that it only refers to extreme cases of over-focus, where "eating right" has become an unhealthy obsession. The creator of the label never intended for it to be applied to anything except for extreme cases.
