I need Inexpensive Primal Vacation Ideas

I am wishing to take a 7-10 night primal vacation for my birthday. My birthday is May 11 so I hope to leave Monday, May 9 which is the day after Mother's Day. I will allow myself to be gone as late as Wednesday, May 18 as I leave again on Friday, May 20 for a wedding in Wisconsin.

Does anyone know of a cheap primal vacation that would seem fit? I plan on bringing my own food so that is not an issue. I currently live in Grand Rapids, MI and will fly anywhere. Its super cheap to fly to Florida - under $200 round trip. So if you know of an awesome spot in Florida let me know!

I wish to hike a lot and meet with other cavemen if possible. If I can be near water that would be a plus.

I am willing to spend up to $1000 but something under $500 for 10 nights would be a huge win.

    Any ideas?

I forgot to mention that I will need wi-fi access 24 hours. I will be bringing my laptop and working throughout the days!

Really cheap idea would be a tent in a field that's just outside a playground =D

The wilderness! Hunt critters. Forge for berries and live off the land. Be sure to bring some good quality peyote.

edit: oh you need your computer. Hrmf.

Haha yea, I do. Well, actually I take that back. I don't NEED it. I plan on getting an iPhone soon. I have had the same damn phone for 4.5 years and if there is anyone in this world that is due for an iPhone its Primal Toad!

I might do this. Go off into the wilderness. Do you know of any awesome spots?

You could get a satellite telephone and tether to your laptop out in the wilderness.

Or you could actually bite the bullet and unplug for a week. It would do you good. Who wants to be staring at a screen when all that nature is out there?

I am considering this. Even if its 3 days... that would be HUGE for me. Too bad the weather has been below average here in Grand Rapids. If it was normal I would just take a 3 day backpacking trip here in my home state.

But, again, a flight to and back from Florida is less than $200 for me!
