Help- 3 weeks strict diet/exercise- no loss or energy!

    Primal Fuel
    Hi fellow PBers
Hoping someone can help. Very frustrated!
Started 3 weeks ago, cutting out all dairy and carbs. I eat 2 meals a day doing IF each day for either breakfast or lunch. Sticking to veggies, low carbs fruits lean meats chicken and eggs, fish and limited nuts. Exercising 3 days cardio- light and 2 days strength training. I was a carb addict before. Im 4'11 and while I dont get on a scale have about 10 lbs excess bloat and weight to take off. Not only have I not lost but I'm more bloated, very hungry and have no energy. I dont want to quit yet without results, I struggling. Any one have suggestions? It isnt even a plateau since I shocked my system with the diet and didnt even get an initial shift

    thanks,
    Shari

If you're very hungry and have no energy, it sounds like you're not eating enough fat? Can you give a sample day of what you're eating?

    Thanks for replying.
I'll have water w lemon and mint in the am before exercise. At 12ish I'll have either salmon or grilled chicken breat- a nice size portion with a bigg salad and some almonds sprinkled on for crunch. Some berries or a grapefruit. Mid afternoon I'll have half a banana with almond butter or grapes or sometimes an egg. Dinner is a lean steak or chicken and variety of vegetables or big bowl or veg soup i make. I try to ward off the hunger with tea or coffee with almond milk.
    Any hints?

WHAT ABOUT FAT? Butter, coconut, macadamia, avocado, beef tallow. Brains. Brains! You need more fat. Nobody does well unless they have at least twice as much fat by calories as they do protein. Protein is anti-metabolic whereas fat is fuel and will help make you healthy. Low omega 6 fats ought to be the bulk of your fat intake, by the way.

You eat little to no fat! That's the problemo. Listen to Stabby. Eat eggs. With butter and a dollop of cream.
If you want to lose the bloat, make at least 50-60% of your calories come from fat, then like 25% protein, 15% carbs. Or something like that

This jumped out at me: "lean meats."

Go eat some fat, for heaven's sake. Stop eating the lean meats. Get coconut oil, butter, and bacon into your diet, and red meat in preference over poultry.

You must eat fat. You must eat 70% of your calories as fat on this way of eating. Fat is your fuel now.
Primal eating in a nutshell: If you are hungry, eat Primal food until you are satisfied (not stuffed). Then stop. Wait until you're hungry again. Repeat.

Avocado won't give you enough by itself. Do dairy at least as far as butter. Get coconut oil. Eat animal fat, lots of it. Bacon is the first and best choice in my opinion. Add lard to soups and stews and cook everything in it.

Coconut, macadamia, avocado, beef tallow, brains. I do dairy on and off and when I don't I just find myself eating a lot of coconut and macadamia nuts. Looks like coconut will have to be a staple unless you like and can get beef tallow or large amounts of bone marrow. Good quality coconut milk is great especially if you dress it up.

But yeah Griff is right. Dairy fat is just so convenient. Is there are particular reason why you are avoiding dairy? Most people find that just the dairy fat doesn't bother them.
