Hamburger Rounds
Thought I would share this recipe. It's from an old church cookbook that belonged to my great-aunt. I HAVE NOT TRIED IT, but it sounds good and primal.
Place 1/4-inch slices of Spanish onions in the bottom of a glass baking dish.
Mix 1 pound ground round steak or hamburger w/ 1/2 t. of salt and 1/8 t. pepper, a dash of sage, and 1 beaten egg.
Make patties the same size as the onion, place a patty on each slice and wrap bacon around each.
Skewer with a toothpick and bake in over for 1/2 to 3/4 of an hour.
It doesn't say what temp. the oven should be. 350 - 375?
