    I do at least one salad a day.. I have some favorites but always looking for new ideas.

    I thought maybe people would list their favorite salads...

    Here's my recent list-

    -Steak salad. I keep some lean steak strips and bagged lettuce (I'm lazy). Mix in 1/4 avocado and a bit of shredded romano or asiago cheese. Top with ground black pepper and sea salt. I found some dressing called Tonton Sesame that is great.
    -Chinese chicken salad. Same lettuce and all above but with grilled chicken and low carb Chinese Chicken salad dressing from Ken's Steak House.
    -Sesame Kale salad from the local hippy store deli (Earth Fare)
    -Newly discovered...also from Earth Fare, Sichuan snow peas.. simple and good.
    -When I do lunch with the gang from work, I always get grilled chicken salad because I don't trust the restaurants with anything else, and one has a grilled salmon salad.. yum.
    -Shredded lettuce and enchilada filling made with ground beef or bison. (I get enchilada mix because it has less onions than taco mix).

    LOL just posted mine on another thread!

    Take some cashews, toss them in a baggie. Grind some fresh cracked pepper into the baggie. Shake shake shake.

    Lots of greens. Toss in peppered cashews, feta cheese, some thin sliced red onion, some cherry tomatoes cut however you like. Dried cranberries if you have them, throw in a bunch. Dried apricots work nicely too. Toss toss toss. Dress with raspberry vinaigrette. Add some chicken on the top if you're so inclined.

    Guaranteed to be enjoyed even by salad haters

    My standard lunch salad is pretty similar to Mark's, several handfuls of mesculen lettuce, carrot, tomato, red capsicum, cucumber, balsamic and a chicken breast or steak, cooked in butter and diced. One of my favorite dinner salads is baby spinach, coloured capsicum (I think you call capsicum bell pepper), sweet potato cut into chips and roasted, grilled lamb rump (cooked med or rare then sliced) and a non-primal dressing made of mayonnaise and sweet chilli sauce.. Mmmm. You could probably make the dressing better (homemade mayo and some fresh chilli and lime or something?)
    I love salad!

    My (almost) daily salad goes like this:

    A couple fistfuls of mixed field greens
    4" of English cucumber, sliced
    2 big stalks of celery, sliced
    1 carrot, sliced
    1/4 red pepper, sliced
    1 sheet of toasted seaweed, torn up
    1/2 cup or less of frozen 4 berry blend
    1 handful of macadamias
    1 avocado, sliced
    EVOO, liberally
    balsamic vinegar, liberally

    I would add broccoli and cauliflower but I've read that cruciferous veggies like those are best eaten cooked or steamed. I used to have raisins, too, but removed them in the interest of decreasing my sugar intake.

    This is kind of a salad, it's the most awesome snack ever:

    a few oz smoked salmon, cut into strips
    1/2 an avocado, also cut up
    thinly sliced red onion
    sprinkle with sesame seeds and drizzle some soy sauce over it
    serve with some wasabi.

    So freaking good.

    I call it a hot wing salad:


    strips of chicken breast sauteed in butter and lousiana hot sauce

    Blue cheese dressing

    My version of a Nicoise salad....

    Spinach and arugula
    Tomato wedges
    Red bell peppers
    Kalamata olives
    Green beans
    Hard boiled eggs
    Roasted sweet potatoes
    Dijon mustard thinned with olive oil

    Romaine with tomatoes, cucumbers, onion, sunflower seeds, either avocado or parmesan cheese, and a apple cider vinegar and olive oil dressing with a little garlic mixed in.
    Leaf lettuce with red pear, walnuts, blue cheese, and the above vinegarette. Heaven!
