With high fat consumption (including saturated fats), is moderate alcohol consumption okay 1-2 times a week (non-carb stuff like wine/whiskey)?

I do. Has hindered my fat loss, but it's probably not helping either. Ha

Sounds Primal to me especially if it's red wine.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure I'd be losing faster if I ditched wine.

I have about a week of social (i.e. alcohol consuming) events coming up. I plan on having a slightly longer then usual IF on these days, followed by a large, primal meal high in protein before the event and then going into these events with the best of intentions (sticking to wine or non-carb liquours; and eating the best options, rather then gorging).

One glass turns into the bottle, I am pretty sure that is why my results stink lately.

Just be sure to pace yourself if you are in ketosis or haven't been doing this way of eating very long....I have determined that if I'm in ketosis alcohol (even on glass of wine) hits me pretty darn hard! Everyone's different, though, but I figured I would mention it because I used to be able to drink whatever, but lately I have to go slow or else all I'm good for is falling asleep.

    Enjoy your socializing!!

I just discovered that I have Atril Fibrillation and have been placed on Coumaden, which is a blood thinner.
I asked the nurse about drinking and was told not to drink too much. Well just what is too much??? She said no more than 4 beers a day. Of course, we were in the Florida Keyes. I think I can live with that.
