May I suggest sweet potato chips? Slice them into coconut oil and fry em up! They are DIVINE!
I am roasting a turkey for Easter and would like to serve yams with it. But my usual yam "company dish" uses maple syrup. I'm on Whole 30 this month and need a sweet-free, butter-free, delicious way to prepare them. Any ideas or resources?
BTW, I own the Primal Blueprint cookbook, but have lent it to my obese brother along with the PB, hoping it will rub off on him.

Boil some sweet potatoes (whole) and let them cool and peel them. Slice them into .25-.5 inch rounds and layer them in a 13x9 baking dish with fresh cranberries. Pour a little orange juice (ok occasional sweetener on whole 30!) over the whole thing. Plop globs of coconut oil throughout dish and cook in the oven at 350 until cranberries have popped and everything is melded. YUMMY!
I made this for Christmas (but with butter and brown sugar on half for other members of the family) and honestly, the non sugar side was eaten up just as quickly the other!

I just made a sweet potato pie dish that was great and what you are looking for. You simply take 2 baked sweet potatos and mix them up with 4 eggs and 1tbsp cinnamon (I added a little nutmeg too which added to the flavor). Dump it into a pie pan and bake at 350 for 25 min or so. Tastes great and is totally PB.
