    Calories question

I ate something like 350 more calories than I usually eat. They were like 80% primal and today was a rest day, exercise-wise.
Have some of you found that going Primal increased your calories but that you still managed to lose fat?
Or am I in the adjustment period...?

I know one day doesn't change much, but I'd like to fit into a certain dress by a certain day so it kind of matters more.

I'm not really sure what you're asking here? - are you asking if you're still going to fit into a dress if you ate 350 more calories today than you planned to?

Well, according to the theory that few actually believe in, if you ate 10x that much, you might gain a pound.

More likely, the extra will go to cellular repair or help in some other useful way. Stressing over it is probably the quickest way to cause problems, IMHO.

Going Primal has been liberating for me. No more freaking out that it's 10 am and I must have my snack now or everyone's heads will be rolling! I eat about the same calories as I did before, some days more if I'm hungry for them. I can't really tell you if I've lost weight or not, since I'm doing Whole30 this month and weighing/measuring is prohibited.
So in short, DON'T WORRY ABOUT EXTRA CALORIES! If you are genuinely hungry for them, eat. If you are not, don't. Stop worrying. Your body knows how to manage itself if you allow it to.

I'm probably getting more calories than I did pre-Primal, but I'm doing better than I did counting calories.

The old brain sometimes sneaks in there and tells me "you're gonna get fat(ter), but I ignore it and keep eating. I'm 24 days in today and all I can tell you is that at least I know I'm no longer gaining and probably losing--the gut is definitely going first, which is usually the last to go on conventional diets, so I know that insulin seems to be in check.

I'm not counting calories and just enjoying eating. I haven't started working out yet (foot injury), but when I do, watch out world!

One of the things that attracted me to the PB is the freedom that comes from not counting calories every time you put something in your mouth. I'm done with the guilt if I go over. I love the flexibility since I can find something to eat almost anywhere I go. Whatever weight my body decides it wants to be, I'll take it.

I am eating less calories (I am pretty sure, I don't count them, but I am eating a lot less). Some people report eating more and weighing less, but that isn't the case with me. I just have a drastically lower appetite.
