I hope your numbers are better today, maybe your body just needs a little bit of time to adjust to not having the meds? Could you at least go to a lower dose if you do have to go back on it?

How are you feeling? I hate the bloated, plump feeling. Except me feeling like that is ENTIRELY my fault, so for you to be feeling like that even though you've been 'good' is sucky!

Sorry to hear you're having a hard time w/ coming off the metformin. It's not an easy prescription to come off. I don't have personal experience w/ it but second hand thro' my mom and a couple of my friends. There's alot of people who experience weight-gain coming off, and some have trouble controlling their blood-sugar (keep in mind...none of the people I knew were on low-carb diets...). The weight-gain does seem to plateau/stop and it takes a while for the system to adjust. That saying, my mom went back on 'coz she didn't like the side-effects of coming off it. Give it some time to see how your body does.

hannah, we'll see how it goes- it's all about the experimentation. It's the only reason I've gotten this far. I would like to ditch the birth control pill to see if that brings the numbers down also before I make the decision whether or not to go back on metformin. My gyno appt isn't till Dec 7 though.


Today I feel better- carnivore day so can't go wrong with that. I didn't sleep AT ALL last night though so I'm sitting here at my desk fighting to stay awake.
