Yummy salad but, is it primal?

    Hi everybody!

Started my second day with a protein shake. Now I am about to have a salad...

1 small avocado (now I know that avocado is a sometime thing but my DH brought two home because he knows I love them, so...)
2 compari tomatoes (the best tomatoes on the PLANET IMHO)
drizzle of olive oil, wine vinegar, garlic and onion powder
    BACON! (2-3 slices)
    dollop of sour cream (optional)
salt to taste (optional, bacon makes it salty enough to me)

Dinner tonight is half a chicken herb roasted with some greens. Am I on the right track?

Avocado is a sometime thing? Why do you say this?

    Looks pretty primal to me.

Is this a meal or a side dish? It's a bit low on protein for a meal. Bacon, yummy as it is, isnt a terribly good source of protein (and I've noticed the more real your bacon the more it is a fat and not a protein)

Add some steak to that plate!

And avocado is an everyday thing here!

I must, must, must get over the "this is too fattening for you" mentality everybody! First coconut, then butter (which cultured is the BEST tasting butter I have ever had, just made some over the weekend!!!), now avocado (*dancing around the room*) I love these things and had to give them up because I "believed the hype" of low fat, high fiber. That is still in the back of my head, although it is starting to fade. I believe that as the days go by and I start to feel better physically and mentally, that "it's too fattening" voice will go away.

I have to go shopping today, among some other errands ( i JUST found the shopping list, that will help a lot). Bacon is the only thing I had in the house. Just needed something so I can run around a bit. Believe it or not, after eating that plate I'm full!

You've just made me hungry for a salad. Guess what I'll be having for lunch! It is hard to let go of CW thinking isn't it? But go, enjoy the bacon and avocado (and coconut and butter)!!

Avocado is a daily thing, not a sometime thing. Well, in my house at least. Homemade sausage patties + avocado + eggs = my daily breakfast.

    Rock on with the avocados.

I'd throw a couple of fried eggs on that salad.
