Ugh, Suspect a Stress Fracture - How Can I Sprint?

    Shop Now
I've been primal for 3 weeks now and have yet to start the exercise plan because I've got a problem with my left foot. At first I thought it was my Morton's neuroma flaring up, but now I suspect a stress fracture from wearing the wrong shoes and walking too far in them.

I have been crazy busy and really need to rest this foot. And I will definitely do so today, but I know it's going to be some time before I can sprint. Is there anyway I can "sprint" without putting weight on this foot?

I know you all are very creative and can help me out with this!

Would riding a stationary bike be a problem?

I agree, swimming is the only alternative.
You lousy kids! Get off my savannah!

Oh, I should have mentioned, I don't have a bike nor easy access to a pool. :-(

I have a Wii--anything I can do there? I never use it except for Netflix, and now I even get that on my Blu-Ray player.

I guess I can hop around on 1 foot until I'm tired, stop and do it again, LOL!

Wait, I can just sell my Wii and buy a used bike with it! Anyone in the market for a Wii w/several games? :-)

How do you know it's a stress fracture? Have you an xray? That is the only way to know for sure. Another way to find out is figure out which bone it is and gently squeeze or apply pressure along the shaft, if it hurts in one spot and a 1/2 either way it doesn't then it could be a fracture.

Grab a bar and swing back and forth on it until you collapse. Or hit stuff. Repeatedly. With a hammer.
In all of the universe there is only one person with your exact charateristics. Just like there is only one person with everybody else's characteristics. Effectively, your uniqueness makes you pretty average.

You may have been joking, but I actually could do that!

Or lay on my stomach on the floor and pretend I'm swimming...hmmm, maybe not.

Ok, I just that that. Yup, I think it could be a fracture.

At any rate, the prescription I think is resting the foot. Gonna dig up some Arnica and see if that helps too.

I never joke about hitting stuff. The other part wasn't a joke either.
