Dr. Bronner's Almond Oil Castile soap.
I *heart* LUSH solid shampoos and use them everyday. I use their conditioner, too, but only 2x per week because it's so concentrated. Other than that, I do a 1x per week Dabur oil treatment on my hair to keep healthy shine.
I have extremely thick, long hair. If I don't wash it daily, it can get pretty greasy looking.
Dr. Bronner's Almond Oil Castile soap.
i only wash it 3x weekly (have long wavy hair) and use TIGI rockstar dry shampoo if it's looking oily. on wash days i use john frieda brilliant brunette. cheap and effectivecondition with kpak JOICO protein conditioner it makes my hair so shiny and soft (it's my $16 splurge)but 1 bottle has lasted me over a year now
I wash my long hair once a week. Most weeks I use baking soda with a white vinegar rinse. About once a month, I use eggs instead of baking soda, which helps to reduce the waxy sebum build-up without stripping everything down.
This works really well for me.
I use Nature's Gate shampoo and conditioner (volumizing and/or moisturizing) and wash my hair every other day. http://www.natures-gate.com/
Have been meaning to try the baking soda/vinegar method.
Everything in moderation, including moderation.
I use shampoo, Baby shampoo or Aussi. I tried soap nuts 2 months ago but felt it didn't remove the grease from my hair (I oil it before washing). The links in the following thread discuss primal shampoos:

My sister tried soapnuts and they smelt so bad- like vomit! Really. The smell was even bad after adding some essential oils to try to mask it. Yuck!
I use Doctor Bronner's Organic Magic Soaps as "shampoo" and apple cider vinegar as a "conditioner"
I'll NEVER use anything else!!! Very cheap also!!!
