Yeah, eating army food will probably have a negative effect on your system! Whether or not you are eating primally beforehand. As far as the shoes go, getting used to running in combat boots might be the best thing for your boot camp prep, even if it's not the best for your feet in the long term. If I were prepping for boot camp, I'd focus on getting strong, maybe do starting strength for 2 months - if you are strong then everything else will be much easier. I mean, if you can bench 250 and are lean, then building up to a bunch of pushups is going to be cake.
