The Shining is an insanely scary movie.

The Thing has to be the John Carpenter version and since you're getting that, get Prince of Darkness for the JC double feature.

Classic horror, The Horror of Dracula (Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing) is the best Dracula movie.

    Some more:

    Ginger Snaps

    An American Werewolf in London

    Candyman

The photography and costumes in Burton's Sleepy Hollow rock my world. I also like Queen of the Damned and Underworld for the same reason.

Bram Stoker's Dracula is the best Dracula movie IMO, even with Keanu Reeves.

    The Nightmare Before Christmas

    Corpse Bride

    Coraline

    for those who like animation.

The Others with Nicole Kidman. Scared the hell out of me.

Finishing the new "Halloween" tonight. Not scary, but it's good on more of the 'back story' and true to the original.

I am thinking of watching the "Army of Darkness" tonight. I've been craving 1 and 2.

The new Halloween is pretty decent. Just watched Trick 'r Treat the other night...interesting watch.

Paranormal Activity has a definite creep factor to it.

The new version of Last House on The Left is a pretty brutal thriller.

The Spanish flick 'Rec' is awesome. There was an american remake of it called Quarantine but it wasn't as good as the orig.

And of course, the remake of Dawn of the Dead! AMAZING!

    I grok, therefore I am.

I can't watch any horror movie that has bad things happening to children

    OR

a corruption of something innocent. Nightmare before Christmas and Coraline fall into this. I used to like Tim Burton. Dude needs chill the F out.
