    New foods for me!

Tonight found coconut milk at the grocer. Tried it, loved it! Is it better to consume than 2% cows milk?
Also been trying the Greek yogurt thing. Not liking the yogurt. I have tried the blueberry and strawberry. Maybe I will try plain with some fresh fruits. It just seems to have a weird taste.

Been eating a ton of fish, meats like pork chops and steaks, Brats, and Bacon. Been eating them with big salads. I think I can eat this stuff forever but the grocery bill is going up! Fresh foods seen to cost more than a box of noodles or rice did. LOL

So, is Feta cheese OK and is Cottage Cheese OK? Just wondering.

    Thanks,
    ~Rich

Coconut milk is usually much higher in saturated fat than milk, more on par with (single) cream. But it depends on the brand, sometimes they're thickened with vegetable gum instead of coconut fat.

Cottage cheese is probably ok if you're fine with dairy proteins, but I prefer something with more fat. Like feta.

Don't feel like you need to eat greek yogurt if you don't like it. I tried eating it for a while, but it just didn't agree with my stomach and left me feeling gross. Also, I don't know what kind you're burying, but the flavoured ones tend to have a ton of added sugar, so that's something you might want to be aware of if you're trying to cut back on sugar.

greek yogurt is hit & miss depending on brand. Yoplait is complete crap. Best to try fage full fat (total) & chobani! Dannon is okay taste-wise, but Fage Total & chobani are my #1 choices for Greek yogurt.

Favorite feta treat: shrimp cooked in bacon grease, served over baby greens, with feta & macadamias. YUM!
