    Still reading this thread but:

When you realize your knife sharpening skills suck because of all the meat you need to cut.

When you are running your dishwasher almost ever day because of all the different and more foods you are eating

When you suspect rabbits are raiding your garden, you consider them fair game to be eaten by you. For real.

When you consider taking up bowhunting, so you can go after the urban deer in your neighborhood.

When you're at a Memorial Day bbq and feel bad for everyone eating the bottom-tier cheapo premade burger patties topped with Kraft Singles on the generic store-brand buns while you chow down on a couple of huge lamb steaks you brought.

When you feel tired at the end of the day and are aware enough about your body to know EXACTLY what caused it (champagne, low-fat for past few days, not much sunlight).
When you're sad that your significant other left an open jar of curry sauce behind. On one hand: can't waste food, on the other: IS IT food?
When you worry if you're getting enough meat on your "heavy" days.

Perfection is entirely individual. Any philosophy or pursuit that encourages individuality has merit in that it frees people. Any that encourages shackles only has merit in that it shows you how wrong and desperate the human mind can get in its pursuit of truth.

I get blunter and more narcissistic by the day.
    I'd apologize, but...

When you go to a Centennial Birthday party for a friend's mom (really cool old gal, sharp as a tack and doesn't look a day over 70).

One of her granddaughters, an avid vegan, was the one who made the carrot cake. Knowing this you decline a slice.
Later the vegan is talking about how, because this was Grandma's party, she used Grandma's recipe for the cake (lots of eggs, butter, and sour cream frosting) and so you relent and have a piece.

And don't regret it a bit.

You consider retiring your faithful 25 year old igloo lunch cooler because it's no longer big enough to hold everything...

When you go to the store to get more pastured butter and find that they replaced your cheap brand with another brand that is $9 per pound, so you drive around town to 4 other Sprouts stores and find the same thing there.

When this worries you because you only have 5 pounds left in the freezer and know that won't last very long.

...you're at an all-day training event, and you are the only one this ISN'T pulling snacks out every hour and nibbling away.

Finding a Applegate Farms bacon for $2.50/pack is the best day of that week.

Don't be so concerned about yesterday, or worried about tomorrow, that you forget to enjoy today.
