I hear these are great. And I bet keeping the last two toes together helps protect the little toe from getting yanked by a branch caught between the toes while running in the woods, and broken.... (I speak from yanksperience)
I have wanted a pair of vibrams for a long while now... but $100+ bucks for a pair of shoes that I must order online and can't try on in a store ahead of time... yeesh... I just don't have the disposable cash...
Well yesterday I found a pear of 4-finger shoes just like the Vibram's at JCPenney. They are four finger, not five (the last two are connected). They feel amazing! And best of all I walked out fo JCPenney having tried them on and got the perfect size for only $52 (they were 10 bucks off!).
They can be purchased online: JCPenney : Fila® SKELE-TOES Men's Shoe
But to me the big deal was in actually trying them on. With shoes I wear a size 13... sometimes a 12... but with these I wore a size 11. I got blue but sears have blue and black in stock. The lady told me I was the first person to even try them on let alone purchase them!

Thanks for posting this. The only-online thing, and being unable to try them on, was a huge reason that I haven't gotten a pair of Vibrams. I'll be checking these out soon.
I tried a pair of skeletoes on the other day, and I didn't much care for them. They have a very stiff sole, and WAY too much arch support for my tastes. Not a fan. But they are half the price.. so...
They have them in kids sizes too. My 12 and 10 year olds rolled their eyes when I told them that they were getting them, now they wear them all the time.

Not a knock on the Skelet-toes. I'm looking at them as well for myself and my nephew who loves my VFFs and "wishes they made them for kids," but where is the only online thing coming from regarding Vibrams?

There are supposedly lots of Vibram dealers around here, too. Then you get there and they're completely out of stock or have nothing in your size, etc. etc. ... we ended up having to order ours and hoping for the best.

They made Vibram Five Fingers for kids... now whether you want to spend the money on something that will be outgrown in a year...
Dude, they make you look like a fish, LOL. I love it! I bet they'll raise even more questions than a pair of vibrams.
